The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Renatinho Soeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renatinho Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Legion of Boom's Renatinho Soeiro got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11thth minute of the game Frederico Salazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legion of Boom's Fernandinho Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Vinícius Junior got a free kick in the 16th minute. Vinícius Junior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Fernandinho Pombal made a huge save. The supporters of ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC booed when Legion of Boom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinícius Junior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Fernandinho Pombal made a huge save. After taking down the ball on ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's corner Emanuele Hottiger fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fernandinho Pombal quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Legion of Boom's Fernandinho Pombal got control of the ball when Vinícius Junior tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes Legion of Boom's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuele Hottiger who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Albérico Calçada got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernandinho Pombal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vinícius Junior got free with Fernandinho Pombal in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ali Brahem hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Vinícius Junior succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 37th playminute. A collision led to Legion of Boom getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alexandre Valladares hit a great ball. Fernandinho Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Salazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandinho Pombal came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Frederico Salazar. But to his dismay, Frederico Salazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frederico Salazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emanuele Hottiger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fernandinho Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vinícius Junior's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernandinho Pombal was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Legion of Boom's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Junior came free, but Fernandinho Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho Pombal having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Vinícius Junior notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Legion of Boom's Fernandinho Pombal. Fernandinho Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Bóas Bolas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luisito Suárez hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Bóas Bolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76thth minute of the game Frederico Salazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Legion of Boom's Fernandinho Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Frederico Salazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernandinho Pombal was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Junior in the 80th minute of play forced Legion of Boom's goalkeeper Fernandinho Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandinho Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bóas Bolas in the 82nd minute of the match. Fernandinho Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Salazar in the 88th minute of play. Frederico Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinícius Junior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandinho Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bóas Bolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC fully deserved thier win.
