The corner led River Plate's Emilio Rico to fire away a dangerous shot which Leon Pilkington despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alaaddin Uchiha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jeronimo Cidro scored 3-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Pilkington, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Emiliano Buendia fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abasto FC's protests and gave Emiliano Buendia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Abasto FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Emiliano Buendia hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Abasto FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for River Plate.
