After 17 minutes River Plate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Efrain Guillelmo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Efrain Guillelmo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alaaddin Uchiha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Augusto Cutberto charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Buendia in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alaaddin Uchiha saved River Plate from getting behind. The Abasto FC fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Abasto FC's Emiliano Buendia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eloy Elizardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Pilkington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Gabriel-Omar Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alaaddin Uchiha having to interfere. Leon Pilkington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Elizardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Eloy Elizardo made the kick off in the second half. Jeronimo Cidro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Leon Pilkington made a huge save. If Eloy Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Eloy Elizardo got a free kick in the 66th minute. Rodolfo Lando charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Lando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute of the match, Teofilo Bizi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leon Pilkington saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
