With an all-out effort, Izaltina FAD's Flavinho Loureiro threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudinei Palmeira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Flavinho Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Duarte in the 26th minute of the match. Manfredo Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Rui Moreira got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Ferreira Lopes MZC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tarcisio Munhoz hit a great ball. Claudinei Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Prata came free, but Tony da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Prata was the one to do the kick off. In the 82nd minute, Claudinei Palmeira made a precise shot to the right of Flavinho Loureiro. Ferreira Lopes MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Izaltina FAD's Tony da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Prata in the 89th minute of play. After 94 minutes of play, Izaltina FAD's Christiano Tavares made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavinho Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there!
