Charles Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 71 minutes into the match, Åstäppa FK's goalkeeper Charles Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peter Örtendal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peter Örtendal made a great header on Åstäppa FK's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. The Åstäppa FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Åstäppa FK fully deserved thier win.
