The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hungary's Antal Valentin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for F.C Petru B.U.C. The supporters of Hungary booed when F.C Petru B.U.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Sabău didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Popeneciu having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, F.C Petru B.U.C's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Lucian Popeneciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Lucian Popeneciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 51st minute of play. Lucian Popeneciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 52nd minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Vilaça in the 54th minute of play. F.C Petru B.U.C's Lucian Popeneciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 57th minute of play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucian Popeneciu firmly grabbed it by the left post. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by F.C Petru B.U.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of F.C Petru B.U.C's goalie and right to Hegedus Henrik. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. F.C Petru B.U.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 67th minute Daniel Vilaça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute of the match, Cristi Sabău sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Fodor Daniel showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Daniel Vilaça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C Petru B.U.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Vilaça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucian Popeneciu was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Hegedus Henrik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hegedus Henrik really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Vilaça's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, F.C Petru B.U.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Lucian Popeneciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C Petru B.U.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Hegedus Henrik scored to the left of an out of position Lucian Popeneciu, making the score, 0-4. Major Barna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucian Popeneciu having to make a save. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Lucian Popeneciu made a huge save. 94 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucian Popeneciu. F.C Petru B.U.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C Petru B.U.C throughout the match.
