An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 41st minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Are Rygg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skövde AIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Bonet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The throw-in from Jean-Luc Dehaene in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Skövde AIK's Lu Rong Yi.
