That made the score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Ödön Szily nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Óscar Cordoba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. had played much better football throughout.
