An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Ferreira in the 19th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Jenipapo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardinho Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
