The tension between the Tori FC and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Tori FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Wim Wilmes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pablo Piearres firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 68th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Piearres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
