The referee showed Damir Pongrac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Damir Pongrac hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ilija Skugor was a little too slow when Luís Gustavo Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Luís Gustavo Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bosak in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Toni Mauzer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Porto. Fúria Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toni Mauzer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 28th minute, Dinko Stankovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Domazet's late challenge caught a Fúria Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Domazet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Benjamin Domazet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Nóbrega in the 39th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Luís Gustavo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The audience was convinced that Luís Gustavo Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilija Skugor was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Fúria Futebol Clube's Luís Gustavo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Luís Gustavo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 61st minute Damir Pongrac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Campidelis in the 63rd minute of the match. Gil Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gil Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Fúria Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gil Tróia. Júlio Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toni Mauzer in the 70th minute. Benjamin Domazet was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Benjamin Domazet hit a great ball. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Carvalho in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Martin Bosak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dinko Stankovic came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Croatia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinko Stankovic couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Fernandes in the 86th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hortêncio Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Bosak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
