Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 毛正昆 in the 38th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Josh Lamb's corner 顾超常 fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Keld Paulsen quite easily take care of the ball. 顾超常 shot a long shot in the 39th minute and a light blocked Keld Paulsen hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by 魏帆振 in the 45th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Josh Lamb players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denmark were winning 1-2.

In the 50th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertram Svenningsen to maneuver through the defense.
