Gençlerbirliği's Dursun Ekinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Giro in the 5th minute of play. If Stanley St Clair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind A T A B E Y - Fener45's goalkeeper Eser Ulutaş, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dursun Ekinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Giro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eser Ulutaş stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanley St Clair's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When Gençlerbirliği's Stanley St Clair in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Giro came free, but Dursun Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Giro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Gençlerbirliği booed when A T A B E Y - Fener45 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökmen Avşar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by A T A B E Y - Fener45's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dursun Ekinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Giro in the 33rd minute of the match. Stanley St Clair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eser Ulutaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Giro came free, but Dursun Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stanley St Clair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Sümer Müjdat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanley St Clair to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Mustafa Arif Salahaddin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dursun Ekinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mustafa Arif Salahaddin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Arif Salahaddin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dursun Ekinci having to interfere. Dursun Ekinci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Arif Salahaddin in the 59th minute of play. Dursun Ekinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A T A B E Y - Fener45's Eser Ulutaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanley St Clair in the 73rd minute of play. Gençlerbirliği's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bertil Winström in the 74th minute. Bertil Winström made a great header on Gençlerbirliği's corner, it was just that A T A B E Y - Fener45's Eser Ulutaş managed to reach the ball for a save. Dursun Ekinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Giro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stanley St Clair in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eser Ulutaş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robustiano Giro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dursun Ekinci having to interfere. In the 90th minute Robustiano Giro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dursun Ekinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dursun Ekinci came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by A T A B E Y - Fener45's Afşin Koyas. But to his dismay, Afşin Koyas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A T A B E Y - Fener45's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
