Iordache Opincaru's late challenge caught a Espen Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iordache Opincaru helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute Kurt Wüthrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes of play, OROTINENSE's Iordache Opincaru made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörg Stiel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kurt Wüthrich hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. OROTINENSE's Ruhi Uluöz got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Opincaru came free, but Jörg Stiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörg Stiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Walczak in the 12th minute of the match. Espen Steelers's Andrew Lepage got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liu Yong Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurenzo Wagner in the 19th minute of play. Kurt Wüthrich who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Liu Yong Yong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Espen Steelers were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after OROTINENSE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrew Lepage took the corner. The corner ended in Hassan Widmer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong did a great save. 30 minutes into the game, Berthold Boller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espen Steelers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OROTINENSE the free kick. Jörg Stiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruhi Uluöz in the 36th minute of the match. Espen Steelers made a substitution. Mauro Caviezel replaced Berthold Boller. Hassan Widmer kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute of the match Songurhan Mete sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jörg Stiel skillfully saved the ball. Liu Yong Yong came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Espen Steelers's Kurt Wüthrich. But to his dismay, Kurt Wüthrich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Wüthrich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liu Yong Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Schär in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, OROTINENSE's Jacek Walczak got a free kick in the 55th minute. If Kurt Wüthrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Jacek Walczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Laurenzo Wagner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Walczak in the 72nd minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Jörg Stiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, OROTINENSE's Nuno Orihuela got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to OROTINENSE getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. In the 96th minute, Dominik Sauerberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Espen Steelers had won after a very even match.
