Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andy Schmid in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kang Le Yu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurenzo Wagner in the 6th minute of play forced FC Zohy's goalkeeper Kang Le Yu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espen Steelers were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after FC Zohy's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clement Rothstein took the corner. Kang Le Yu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurenzo Wagner, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Kang Le Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clement Rothstein in the 11th minute of play. Henri Schwersenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Kang Le Yu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes of play, Espen Steelers's Laurenzo Wagner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kang Le Yu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Kurt Wüthrich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kang Le Yu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. FC Zohy's Kang Le Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurenzo Wagner in the 23rd minute of play. When Kurt Wüthrich came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Espen Steelers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Wüthrich couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Hassan Widmer in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Zohy's Jurand Gregorczyk. Cao Bang Wei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Nikola Portner made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Nikola Portner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cao Bang Wei. Kang Le Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Schmid in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Espen Steelers got a corner. FC Zohy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clement Rothstein ran over to the corner to take the kick. Roland Rochat was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Mário Baptista hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Kang Le Yu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Schmid, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Clement Rothstein scored 0-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kang Le Yu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kurt Wüthrich scored 0-4 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kang Le Yu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

If Kurt Wüthrich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Andy Schmid reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kang Le Yu. The goal made the score 0-5. Espen Steelers's Dominik Sauerberg was substituted for Laurenzo Wagner. Kang Le Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Sauerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, FC Zohy's goalkeeper Kang Le Yu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andy Schmid. Espen Steelers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Wüthrich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Espen Steelers's Dominik Sauerberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Espen Steelers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
