Poetass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Sandrinho Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Mauro Pontes hit a great ball. Abelardo Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Dias in the 9th minute of play. Abelardo Mattos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eriberto Pinheiro went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Poetass FC defense, Thiago Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Mattos. The Poetass FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Mattos should have stopped the shot. Silvério Antunes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto Pinheiro. Silvério Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Abelardo Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Thiago Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Dias in the 33rd minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Carvalho was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sandrinho Carvalho hit a great ball. Abelardo Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Tarcisio Ramos took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Abelardo Mattos to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido Nascimento during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Cido Nascimento. Charles Pereira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Mattos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Luís Gustavo Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo Mattos was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 56th minute Osvaldinho Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poetass FC's Abelardo Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Pinheiro in the 57th minute of play. Abelardo Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Cido Nascimento got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Charles Pereira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Mattos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Poetass FC's Abelardo Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Correia in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ got a corner. Poetass FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Charles Pereira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Charles Pereira made a great header on IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s corner, it was just that Poetass FC's Abelardo Mattos managed to reach the ball for a save. 72 minutes into the match, Eriberto Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Mattos. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eriberto Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When Thiago Correia came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thiago Correia couldn't finish the play. Mané de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Abelardo Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charles Pereira scored 8-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Mattos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abelardo Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Ramos in the 83rd minute of play. Abelardo Mattos came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Thiago Correia. But to his dismay, Thiago Correia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
