Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Capibaribe Stars's Oscar dos Santos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Oscar dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Capibaribe Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Capibaribe Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar dos Santos in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Camargo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar dos Santos hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Váldson de Sena got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Sílvio Luiz Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Sílvio Luiz Vides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capibaribe Stars's Edgar Paraíba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Edgar Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Vides in the 41st minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Luiz Vides made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Fabinho Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu de Brito to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, ContraVersão's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson de Sena came free, but Fred Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Váldson de Sena in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Washington Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Paraíba having to interfere. Eliseu de Brito's late challenge caught a ContraVersão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu de Brito helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseu de Brito hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Edgar Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Sílvio Luiz Vides sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Váldson de Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Camargo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Sílvio Luiz Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
