Pindobassu EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Christiano Fonseca scored to the left of an out of position Válter Corrêa, making the score, 2-0. With his leg Válter Corrêa managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Santos Campineiro's Gláuber de Brito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Albertinho Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Christiano Fonseca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Válter Corrêa. The goal made the score 3-0. Enio Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Válter Corrêa was a little too slow when Christiano Fonseca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 4-0. After a rather tough play, Santos Campineiro's Christiano Fonseca got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Christiano Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pindobassu EC's Válter Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Brito in the 43rd minute of play. Gláuber de Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Válter Corrêa made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gláuber de Brito got free with Válter Corrêa in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Christiano Fonseca notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Pindobassu EC's Válter Corrêa. Válter Corrêa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gláuber de Brito made a kick off. Gláuber de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Válter Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gláuber de Brito in the 54th minute of the match. Júlio Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan da Cunha in the 58th minute. When Albertinho Brito fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos Campineiro's protests and gave Albertinho Brito a yellow card for diving instead. Albertinho Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Gláuber de Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
