The Capibaribe Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgar Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Romário dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Paraíba having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Kléber Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anderbye FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgar Paraíba came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Anderbye FC's Diogo Sampaio. But to his dismay, Diogo Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Anderbye FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Capibaribe Stars:s goal. In the 65th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. When Reynaldo Maranhense was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. In the 69th match minute, Anderbye FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. When Váldson de Sena came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Capibaribe Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson de Sena couldn't finish the play.
