Austria's Fabio Auer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Austria from getting a goal against them. Fabio Auer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermegildo Fazzini in the 6th minute. Fabio Auer was a little too slow when Ermegildo Fazzini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Tobías Rocuant tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Club Deportes La Serena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobías Rocuant to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Ermegildo Fazzini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Auer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With his leg Fabio Auer managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Club Deportes La Serena's Ermegildo Fazzini fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 23 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Schneider. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Fabio Auer successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute, Tobías Rocuant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Auer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Fabio Auer was a little too slow when Ermegildo Fazzini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 36th minute, Said Hamed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Wallner hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Ermegildo Fazzini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Fabio Auer made a huge save. Fabio Auer had great luck who in the 44thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ermegildo Fazzini from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 45th minute Club Deportes La Serena were awarded a corner. Tobías Rocuant went to the cornerflag to take it. At last the ball reached Said Hamed at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Austria. 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Fazzini to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Ermegildo Fazzini put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Auer. Austria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabio Auer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Fazzini's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Austria's zone, Tobías Rocuant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Auer came out of the goal and Tobías Rocuant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the game, Oriol Mora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Fabio Auer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Austria's zone, Said Hamed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Auer came out of the goal and Said Hamed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Soso Cheishvili scored 9-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Auer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Austria defense, Ermegildo Fazzini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Auer. The Austria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Auer should have stopped the shot. Remco van den Bergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fabio Auer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Deportes La Serena made a substitution. Edgardo Garzo replaced Soso Cheishvili. Fabio Auer came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportes La Serena's Edgardo Garzo. But to his dismay, Edgardo Garzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Austria's Marc Kronecker quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hans Hadders, made in the 89th minute of the game. Ermegildo Fazzini succeeded in the game's 90th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 13-0.
