The referee ignored Oddspredator.com's protests and gave Nikitas Tsigos a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Oddspredator.com:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Czech Republic:s goal. Nikos Pasamichalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Ntinos Koutris dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vavrinec Holub, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Czech Republic's zone, Pipis Barbikas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal and Pipis Barbikas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pipis Barbikas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Vitek hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Erik Jilek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Jilek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanos Kavouropoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Barbikas in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svatopluk Capek to maneuver through the defense. Dalimil Charvat made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alan Rezek however managed to control. In the 84th minute, Pipis Barbikas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Ntinos Koutris scored 5-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vavrinec Holub, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
