The shot was a little too simple and Gianluca Pagliuca could save by the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramiro FC's Gianluca Pagliuca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 60th minute of play. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gianluca Pagliuca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gianluca Pagliuca firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 84thth minute of the game Bartolomeu Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ramiro FC's Gianluca Pagliuca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Felipinho Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felipinho Amorims short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Gianluca Pagliuca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nereo Harkaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
