When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mátyás Gelencsér sped through FC Medicover's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antoni Fujara. 20 minutes into the game, FC Medicover's Ivan Lopez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lénárd Erdélyi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mátyás Gelencsér might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antoni Fujara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mátyás Gelencsér ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mátyás Gelencsér got free with Antoni Fujara in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Medicover's Antoni Fujara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mátyás Gelencsér in the 25th minute of play. Gianluca Pierdomenico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lénárd Erdélyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lénárd Erdélyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Ochylski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Radomir Trzemzalski replaced Miromir Waselewicz. In the 74th minute, Kaká de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michal Ochylski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Lénárd Erdélyi made a huge save. The supporters of FC Medicover booed when Veresi Új Generáció was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hauk Almli didn't get a good kick on the ball.
