Eloy Herauso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Herauso in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Raul Bras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruud Wollans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match Germany got a corner. Lugano Futbol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ham Shmuelson in the 65th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, Lugano Futbol's Luciano Alvarez made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Lugano Futbol's Hermengildo Liberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugano Futbol the free kick. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Liberto in the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Ruud Wollans in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jimeno Lluciano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Germany got a corner. Lugano Futbol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Sachs ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Malte Schiele fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ruud Wollans quite easily take care of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Alvarez came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Lluciano made in the 92nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hermengildo Liberto however managed to control. After a rather tough play, Germany's Ulrich Stein got a free kick in the 98th minute.
