In the 13th minute, Carlos Saúl Recalde sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Germany's Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move. When Until Five's Carlos Saúl Recalde in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Mota in the 53rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
