In the 15th minute of the match Lars Steen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bekololari Idachaba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Denmark's Mikkel Wulff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bekololari Idachaba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bekololari Idachaba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bekololari Idachaba having to interfere. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Gimnástico F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cloyo Alcaraz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bekololari Idachaba saved Gimnástico F.C. from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Simon Bendtsen got a free kick in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cloyo Alcaraz to make the kick off. In the 85th minute of the game Paulin Elguero made a throw-in which Choice Chopart played forward.
