In the 5th match minute, GUTIERREZ SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanko Zografov to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Lazcano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Kepa, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Salvador Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Kepa in the 9th minute of the match. Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pocho Lavezzi in the 12th minute of play. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Kepa in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Etor in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Lazcano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Merced AFC's Baltasar Alfonso in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GUTIERREZ SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 20th minute Jacinto Kepa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, GUTIERREZ SC's Nicasio Thomas got control of the ball when Baltasar Alfonso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicasio Thomas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltasar Alfonso in the 24th minute. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Gómez in the 26th minute of play. Salvador Lazcano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute Pocho Lavezzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Etor in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Abel Etor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GUTIERREZ SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Salvador Lazcano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Etor went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Alfonso to make the kick off. Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pocho Lavezzi in the 52nd minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Lider came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 61st minute of the game was made by Gaston Eudoxio with Abel Etor as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Salvador Lazcano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Etor in the 62nd minute. GUTIERREZ SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merced AFC the free kick. In the 89th minute, Jacinto Kepa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Salvador Lazcano. The goal made the score 0-8. Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Merced AFC from getting a goal against them.
