With an all-out effort, Merced AFC's Marko Bergkvist threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from José Carlos Damião, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marko Bergkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Damião in the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Orrefors's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Damião came free, but Marko Bergkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaka Pulatov in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Orrefors booed when Merced AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Estebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marko Bergkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anastasio Costante made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Norberto Palban however managed to control. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Orrefors's goalkeeper Marko Bergkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orrefors's Marko Bergkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Orrefors from getting a goal against them. Marko Bergkvist made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Baltasar Alfonso sent off a good shot on target. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andaka Pulatov in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Baltasar Alfonso made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Cosme Filipo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Bergkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Orrefors's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Damião came free, but Marko Bergkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Merced AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Norberto Palban hit a great ball. Salvador Lazcano came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Orrefors's Michael Christoffersson. But to his dismay, Michael Christoffersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 82 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andaka Pulatov came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Einar Hylander in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Merced AFC's Norberto Palban. In the 86th minute Andaka Pulatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Lazcano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Orrefors defense, Baltasar Alfonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marko Bergkvist. The Orrefors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marko Bergkvist should have stopped the shot. Michael Christoffersson's late challenge caught a Merced AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
