Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Flavio Vittori successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Maximilian Larsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edson Mendes, made in the 12th minute of the game. Art Hauschildt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 14th minute of play. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Pereira in the 17th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Kees Van Bever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 31st minute of play forced Titipounamu's goalkeeper Art Hauschildt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Art Hauschildt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 33rd minute of the match. Art Hauschildt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 36th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Edson Mendes in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. 45 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Art Hauschildt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Titipounamu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nando Pereira to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Pereira in the 53rd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Art Hauschildt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. The Titipounamu fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Titipounamu's Nando Pereira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 68 minutes into the match, Titipounamu's goalkeeper Art Hauschildt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Art Hauschildt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Titipounamu made a substitution. Kirby Palmington replaced Jacobs Soekirno. In the 75th minute of the match Titipounamu got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Melchor Sayveon ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 80th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Art Hauschildt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. After 85 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melchor Sayveon who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Titipounamu's Melchor Sayveon to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavio Vittori despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 87th match minute, Titipounamu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Van Bever to maneuver through the defense. Art Hauschildt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Curto in the 88th minute of the match. Art Hauschildt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Curto, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Nando Pereira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Art Hauschildt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Curto, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Titipounamu were victorious despite being under pressure from Italy for much of the match.
