With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Gökalp Mehdi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fodor Daniel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gökalp Mehdi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's Okan Akdoğan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 26th minute of play. Gökalp Mehdis short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Fodor Daniel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 29 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erkan Başok who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Erkan Başok got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fodor Daniel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goalkeeper Okan Akdoğan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Okan Akdoğan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 41st minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Okan Akdoğan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the match, ESKİŞEHİRSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Okan Akdoğan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bican Durualp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
