Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ray Hayward sent off a good shot on target. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Reha Zeren took the corner. The corner ended in Ahmet Reha Zeren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel did a great save. Balaban Akçam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 14th minute of the match. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Balaban Akçam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 16th minute of play. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balaban Akçam having to interfere. In the 25th minute Marcelo Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 34th minute of play forced ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's goalkeeper Balaban Akçam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Mehmet Arif Evvel got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cankut Arslan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Cankut Arslan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Jafta Tshabalala made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Salas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Balaban Akçam. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's Balaban Akçam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Balaban Akçam in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Hegedus Henrik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, Taci Hürsev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Major Barna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Balaban Akçam came out and tried to block the shot, but Major Barna slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 77th minute. Balaban Akçam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taci Hürsev in the 84th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Taci Hürsev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ƒ¢ кคгค๔єภเz Ŧıгtıภครı fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taci Hürsev in the 88th minute of play. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Despite being the better team, Hungary failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
