The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin got control of the ball when Gil dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Cosula-BTF-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chicão Matos was slow to take the kick. During this time Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's players had a chance to rest. In the 7th minute, Gil dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Marin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Adalberto Vianna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ovidiu Marin came out and tried to block the shot, but Adalberto Vianna slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. Charles Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dacian Jurăscu in the 18th minute of play. Falcão Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Perivaldo Pitta got a free kick in the 20th minute. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FC Cosula-BTF- from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the game, Dacian Jurăscu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rondinone F.C - FDFDF the free kick. Dacian Jurăscu hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Gil dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Marin made a huge save. Octav Buta kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Marin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil dos Santos. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Cosula-BTF- from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil dos Santos was the one to do the kick off. Ovidiu Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Gil dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ovidiu Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Adalberto Vianna hit a great ball. Dacian Jurăscu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Falcão Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ovidiu Marin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 minutes, Emilian Bădila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cosula-BTF- and the Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute of the match, Vintilă Bădescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Charles Sarmento was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dacian Jurăscu took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charles Sarmento. Charles Sarmento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ovidiu Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil dos Santos in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Gil dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adalberto Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Marin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Dacian Jurăscu hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Ovidiu Marin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil dos Santos went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rondinone F.C - FDFDF had won after a very even match.
