Yves Dervaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchel Dijkstra having to interfere. Walmir Breckenfeld scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the game, Wouter Zwinkels was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Young Benefica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. In the 21st minute, Wouter Zwinkels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitchel Dijkstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 22nd minute of the match. Laurens Vandamme charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurens Vandamme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Walmir Breckenfeld might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Claes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmir Breckenfeld ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Young Benefica's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Mitchel Dijkstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitchel Dijkstra. Mitchel Dijkstra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 42 played minutes Young Benefica got a freekick which was hit by Jens van Basten. 45 minutes into the match, Young Benefica's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Mitchel Dijkstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feyzullay Taşkıner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute, Guillaume Bonte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Feyzullay Taşkıner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Young Benefica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Young Benefica's Feyzullay Taşkıner got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Guillaume Bonte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmir Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mitchel Dijkstra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belgium's Aaron Decoster was substituted for Lenny Clocheret. The supporters of Belgium booed when Young Benefica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Uggstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Belgium players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Young Benefica.
