Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Murathan Kutcan sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, KFC Hansa's Mario Gallois got a free kick in the 29th minute. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Gallois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute KFC Hansa were awarded a corner. Ulf Bernhauer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on KFC Hansa's corner Ulf Bernhauer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vavrinec Holub quite easily take care of the ball. Arne Bastian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Murathan Kutcan made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, KFC Hansa's goalkeeper Matthias Wagenblast had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Rezek. In the 69th minute, Czech Republic's Erik Jilek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murathan Kutcan in the 73rd minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murathan Kutcan in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Murathan Kutcan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Murathan Kutcan kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
