Ben Labigne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Guillen Ubiña made a huge save. Sporting Buceo were furious when Xacintu Urruchua was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Guillen Ubiña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Labigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ben Labigne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillen Ubiña was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Ben Labigne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guillen Ubiña. Sporting Buceo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ben Labigne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Nicasio Tijerina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Immanuel Baumann in the 35th minute of play forced Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Guillen Ubiña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sporting Buceo's Guillen Ubiña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ben Labigne in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Buceo's zone, Paavo Burgdorf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillen Ubiña came out of the goal and Paavo Burgdorf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martxel Bernia's late challenge caught a Hannover Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martxel Bernia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Martxel Bernia got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 84 minutes of play, Hannover Reds's Immanuel Baumann made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillen Ubiña was left in no man's land by his defense there!
