Fredric Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Immanuel Baumann in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Callus got free with Hartmut Klein in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Debono struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Hartmut Klein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meerkats FC. In the 18th minute, Jon Bak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hannover Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th minute Jon Bak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hartmut Klein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Degabriele in the 25th minute of play. Fredric Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paavo Burgdorf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernard Degabriele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredric Hansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavo Burgdorf in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Jon Bak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Callus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hartmut Klein came out and tried to block the shot, but Vincent Callus slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. Fredric Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Bak in the 41st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Meerkats FC defense, Jon Bak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredric Hansson. The Meerkats FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredric Hansson should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Immanuel Baumann to strike the kick off in the second half. Hartmut Klein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Degabriele, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Fredric Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paavo Burgdorf in the 59th minute of the match. Hartmut Klein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Callus in the 61st minute of play. Christopher Bugelli hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Vincent Callus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Klein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Meerkats FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Clint Schembri hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Meerkats FC defense, Immanuel Baumann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredric Hansson. The Meerkats FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredric Hansson should have stopped the shot. If Paavo Burgdorf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Bernard Degabriele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hartmut Klein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christopher Bugelli during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hannover Reds walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
