The Villa Mitre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Montez should have stopped the shot. If Carlos Teves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Roman Montez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Teves got free with Roman Montez in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the game, Carlos Teves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Roman Montez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Teves struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Roman Montez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Guardia Imperial. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro Jerano made a kick off. Roman Montez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Teves went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Carlos Teves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Montez was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. 58 minutes into the match, Carlos Teves notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Villa Mitre's Roman Montez. Villa Mitre's Roman Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Teves in the 71st minute of play. Roman Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Teves, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute.
