Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Teves in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Oriol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. La Guardia Imperial's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcial Abaunza in the 16th minute. The corner ended in Marcial Abaunza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Talleres's Jonathan Oriol did a great save. 21 minutes into the match, Carlos Teves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Oriol. Club Atlético Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Teves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. La Guardia Imperial's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Teves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Oriol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Club Atlético Talleres fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Guardia Imperial were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
