The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Wim Wilmes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Baldomiro Sindo, passed just outside the right post. In the 94th minute, Donato Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Chaján's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
