In the 3rdth minute of the game Olívio da Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Zumbi's Abelardo Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olívio da Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Barreto having to make a save. Vila Zumbi's Abelardo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Pintilie in the 8th minute of play. Abelardo Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Talló, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Anselmo Branco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronaldo Meirelles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Viorel Pintilie scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abelardo Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Talló, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Enéas Falcão fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Zumbi's protests and gave Enéas Falcão a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nautilus booed when Vila Zumbi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Wesley Popken sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Barreto skillfully saved the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vila Zumbi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wesley Popken was slow to take the kick. During this time Nautilus's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Vila Zumbi's goalie and right to Olívio da Silveira. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Vila Zumbi's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Abelardo Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Pintilie in the 27th minute of play. Abelardo Barreto came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Nautilus's Olívio da Silveira. But to his dismay, Olívio da Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 31 minutes into the match, Olívio da Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Barreto. Vila Zumbi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olívio da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 37 minutes of play, Nautilus's Marcus Talló made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abelardo Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerônimo de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Barreto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Nautilus's Marcus Talló shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Talló to make the kick off. Viorel Pintilie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Abelardo Barreto made a huge save. In the 56th play minute Jerônimo de Amorim came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abelardo Barreto. 1-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio da Silveira in the 58th minute of play forced Vila Zumbi's goalkeeper Abelardo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vila Zumbi's Abelardo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio da Silveira in the 61st minute of play. Abelardo Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Talló in the 67th minute of play. Abelardo Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Talló, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Nautilus's Olívio da Silveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abelardo Barreto. Abelardo Barreto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. Nautilus's Dedê Dias was substituted for Aba Cadabra. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Shi Ke Shu took a quick shot and it went in 1-10 without a chance for Abelardo Barreto to make any attempt to save it. 85 minutes into the match, Olívio da Silveira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abelardo Barreto, 1-11. Viorel Pintilie scored 1-12 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Barreto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Nautilus's Abelardo Barreto threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis-Enrique Rosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luis-Enrique Rosa took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Barreto. Abelardo Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-13. When the match was over Nautilus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vila Zumbi throughout the match.
