Miguel Cunha made a great header on Sporting Angola's corner, it was just that Vila Zumbi's Abelardo Barreto managed to reach the ball for a save. 19 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Wüllbier came free, but Abelardo Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Sein came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Zumbi's Sílvio Queirós. But to his dismay, Sílvio Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Magno de Queirós hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Sporting Angola's Miguel Cunha couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vila Zumbi. In the 27th match minute, Sporting Angola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Flinck to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Magno de Queirós put in a rough tackle. Magno de Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Zumbi's goalkeeper Abelardo Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ailton Curvelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Barreto having to interfere. Ailton Curvelo kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Sporting Angola's Ailton Curvelo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vítor da Cunha in the 38 minute of the game. Abelardo Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claus Wüllbier went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Abelardo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Wüllbier in the 43rd minute of the match. Claus Wüllbier hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubaldo Goyanes to make the kick off. Abelardo Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Wüllbier in the 51st minute of play. In the 59th minute, Ubaldo Goyanes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Angola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 64 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Goyanes came free, but Abelardo Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Goyanes in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abelardo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Goyanes in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Ubaldo Goyanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Sporting Angola were the better team. Sporting Angola's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
