In the 2nd minute, Cheikh Ober hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lions Of Turks's Jason Denayer quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Peng Yang Guang, made in the 10th minute of the game. Bogumil Pochorylo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Ömer Demirci struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Fuat Bayraktaroğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KOCAELİSPOR. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogumil Pochorylo in the 21st minute of play. Fuat Bayraktaroğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Önder Ünlü, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ömer Demirci made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Pochorylo came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Cheikh Ober in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KOCAELİSPOR's Baba Yorgun. 93 minutes into the match, Lions Of Turks's goalkeeper Fuat Bayraktaroğlu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aşır Zabit. Aşır Zabit might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fuat Bayraktaroğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aşır Zabit ran back to his position shaking his head.
