The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Tepedino got free with Tommy Kahn in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ludvig Blixt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. But to his dismay, Ian Tepedino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ludvig Blixt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

52 minutes into the game, Frank Sachs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Ludvig Blixt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Erik Tunström during the 92nd minute.
