Tage Pålsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jiří Tichavský in the 9 minute of the game. When Tage Pålsson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the FC Patov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Pålsson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Denmark booed when FC Patov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Papon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Mikkel Wulff notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Patov's Jakub Baran. Jakub Baran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the match, FC Patov's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Jakub Baran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jakub Baran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 played minutes FC Patov got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Papon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Patov's goalkeeper Jakub Baran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keld Paulsen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tage Pålsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tage Pålsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Patov's supporters rose to their feet, but Tage Pålsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Janiš stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Kurt Janiš had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A sloppy throw-in by Jiří Tichavský in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. In the 59th minute Tage Pålsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaroslav Ševčík made a great header on FC Patov's corner, it was just that Denmark's Keld Paulsen managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Denmark booed when FC Patov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Květoslav Zukal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tage Pålsson in the 65th minute of the match. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Pålsson in the 68th minute of play. FC Patov's Jakub Baran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 76th minute of play. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by FC Patov's Kurt Janiš. But to his dismay, Kurt Janiš quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 95 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Pålsson came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennart Svanström charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lennart Svanström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Denmark booed when FC Patov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Svanström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Denmark walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
