Pure dead brilliant team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabio Schneider was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Fabio Schneider blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon McChoiter having to make a save. Fabio Auer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aaron McPhedran in the 46th minute. After 48 minutes Austria's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Duncan Scotland who took care of the corner kick. The Pure dead brilliant team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Austria were winning 0-3.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Aaron McPhedran put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Fabio Auer.
