The tension between the Croatia and the ＡＳＹＡ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Patrik Terzic hit a great ball. ＡＳＹＡ's Nazil Özdel got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şerif Işılay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şerif Işılay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damir Pongrac, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Martin Bosak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şerif Işılay having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, ＡＳＹＡ's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Bosak came free, but Şerif Işılay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toni Mauzer took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şerif Işılay. Şerif Işılay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazil Özdel in the 42nd minute of play. With a little luck, Croatia's Ilija Skugor got control of the ball when Necip Fazıl İlsak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ＡＳＹＡ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Croatia were winning 0-1.

When Duran Arkın fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ＡＳＹＡ's protests and gave Duran Arkın a yellow card for diving instead. 55 minutes into the match, ＡＳＹＡ's goalkeeper Şerif Işılay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinko Stankovic. Abdurrezzak Er charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdurrezzak Er the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Bosak was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Croatia. The referee gave ＡＳＹＡ a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nazil Özdel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. 2-1. Damir Pongrac struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. The supporters of Croatia booed when ＡＳＹＡ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duran Arkın didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 minutes of play, ＡＳＹＡ's Necip Fazıl İlsak made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Croatia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ＡＳＹＡ.
