A sloppy throw-in by Dalimil Charvat in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by EdirnE ÇeltiK's Emre Coşkun. Hamit Çakmur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Jilek went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Yavuz Selim Isfahanlı blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vavrinec Holub having to make a save. Emre Coşkun might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vavrinec Holub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emre Coşkun ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Vavrinec Holub managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when EdirnE ÇeltiK's Fadıl Türehan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fadıl Türehan struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Vavrinec Holub didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EdirnE ÇeltiK. Ege Coşkun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Jilek was the one to do the kick off. Fadıl Türehan kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ege Coşkun in the 55th minute of the match. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fadıl Türehan in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Dalimil Charvat got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When Fadıl Türehan came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the EdirnE ÇeltiK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fadıl Türehan couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fadıl Türehan in the 69th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Selim Isfahanlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, EdirnE ÇeltiK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
