If Joel Federigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Paulo Rosio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Hermosillo FC booed when Atletas Campesinos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Gonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregorio Dantae's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Evarado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Silvestre Gonzo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Samuel Evarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Locaio in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Conrado Mirande notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio. Paulo Rosio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuel Evarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Dantae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Evarado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Galindo in the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Donato Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hermosillo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Adrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Joel Federigo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Evarado. That made the score 2-1 after 77 minutes of play. With a little luck, Hermosillo FC's Samuel Evarado got control of the ball when Joel Federigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Federigo got free with Samuel Evarado in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Gregorio Dantae ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Evarado. Samuel Evarado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 89th minute, Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Dalmacio Transito seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dalmacio Transito the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Atletas Campesinos F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dalmacio Transito had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th minute, one of Atletas Campesinos F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atletas Campesinos F.C.. Flavio Locaio placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 95th minute, Conrado Mouricio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Atletas Campesinos F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hermosillo FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
