An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Murgas in the 13th minute of play forced Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Jaime Villegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Eliazar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Nunes having to make a save. A throw-in in the 18th minute of the game was made by Rigoberto Sabino with Marcelino Eliazar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Miguel Ángel Benito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlitos Bianchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Eliazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. GuateFortín's Juan José Ferrero managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rigoberto Sabino in the 30 minute of the game. Roberto Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Eliazar in the 32nd minute of play. After 34 minutes, Carlitos Bianchi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the Cavaliers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Carlitos Bianchi. A collision led to Cavaliers FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Fidel Bernaldo hit a great ball. When GuateFortín's Carlitos Bianchi in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cavaliers FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 48th minute of the match GuateFortín got a corner. Cavaliers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Salvador Gomez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlitos Bianchi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jaime Villegas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Ángel Benito to make the kick off. Jaime Villegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ángel Benito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59thth minute of the game Miguel Ángel Benito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cavaliers FC's Jaime Villegas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Eliazar got free with Roberto Nunes in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GuateFortín's Juan José Ferraro was substituted for Edgardo Murgas. GuateFortín's Ernesto Fernandez was substituted for Juan José Ferrero. After 71 minutes GuateFortín's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julio Quintun who took care of the corner kick. After 76 minutes of play GuateFortín's Carlitos Bianchi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Carlitos Bianchi hit a great ball. With a little luck, GuateFortín's Roberto Nunes got control of the ball when Higinio Eate tried to sneak it across the goal line. GuateFortín's Roberto Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Eate in the 87th minute of play. Gerardo Cuenca struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Roberto Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavaliers FC. After 95 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Ángel Benito. A collision led to Cavaliers FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Gerardo Cuenca hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
