The Catugi FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the match, Real Dracul Medellín's goalkeeper Asier Pedraja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edson Couto. In the 14th minute Walmir Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asier Pedraja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmir Pombal took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Asier Pedraja. Asier Pedraja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 19th minute, Carlos Alberto Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Asier Pedraja was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Walmir Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Asier Pedraja made a huge save. Reko Nybacka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orain Husarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Erik Sanches hit a great ball. Orain Husarte kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Asier Pedraja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Carlos Alberto Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asier Pedraja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asier Pedraja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the game, Walmir Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Dracul Medellín the free kick. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Real Dracul Medellín's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Soares came free, but Asier Pedraja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reko Nybacka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benjamim Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Real Dracul Medellín's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamim Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Dracul Medellín booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Henric Viciola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Dracul Medellín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henric Viciola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catugi FC had won after a very even match.
